  • For keeping vegetables fresh in refrigerator - Line the bottom of your refrigerator’s crisper drawer with paper towels.They’ll absorb the excess moisture and will keep veggie fresh.
  • To remove the smell of garlic or onions from your hands rub a tablespoon of salt mixed with a little water for a few times then rince with cold water.
  • When boiling eggs, add a pinch of salt to keep the shells from breaking.
  • When boiling new potato or cauliflower add a 1/4 of a lemon to the water - this will keep them white so they can be used later.
  • To peel garlic cloves quicker, microwave them first for 10 seconds. They pop out of their skin instantly.
  • Dont store apples and carrots in the same fridge compartment. The apples emit a gas that makes the carrots bitter.
  • To reuse cooking oil without tasting whatever was cooked in the oil previously, cook a 1/4 piece of ginger in the oil. It will remove any remaining flavors and odors.
  • To clean fruit stains off of your fingers, rub them with a fresh, peeled potato. White vinegar can also do the trick.
